Cyberpunk
Bruce Bethke coined the term in 1980 in his short story "Cyberpunk" published in 1983. His short story led to the widespred use of the term cyberpunk. His thoughts on cyberpunk subculture are collected on his website in an essay called "The Etymology of Cyberpunk".
Gardner Dozois, a science fiction editor, is acknowledged as the person who popularized the term cyberpunk.
Once more and more people started hearing about CyberPunk, a whole new generation was born. Films, books, games, fashion and more were being created based on cyberpunk.
Transhumanism
Early thoughts of transhumanism began in 1923 by J.B.S. Haldane in an essay he wrote which predicted the development of human enhancement. his essay then later inspired many people like J.D. Bernal who wrote The World, The Flesh And The Devil in 1929.
Julian Huxley, a biologist, who popularized transhumaism in his influential essay he wrote in 1957. Julian Huxley is generally regarded as the founder
